I have been purchasing coffee at Starbucks for multiple people every day.
i have written a free online resource list for people who inherit old quilts OLD QUILT Q & A on facebooksometimes the quilts are the tip of the iceberg & someone has inherited the contents of a home including a collection of textiles in varying stages of disrepair & incompletion. some people can't decide what to do til they know how much it's worth & how much care it needs. i am not an appraiser but those i've consulted say most quilts are not priceless heirlooms & e bay is the best venue for selling anything not unusual in some way.the list includes options for finding out identifying info, repairing it yourself or learning how & places to donate it to "as is" if it's more than you can deal with. i suggest if you don't want to keep it start w/ immediate family of original artist & work outwards to her job, church, school or even where she had her hair done til you find someone who can give it the care it needs, Jean Gonzalez, Repair Specialist

Hi I'm Jadyn's mom, and I was sick in bed from the flu. My daughter Jadyn, made me tea to make me feel better. It was the best surprise, and made my day. We had a tea party on the bed. She is my little angel, and always helps out whenever she can. And she loves Sprout...thank you!! Have a wonderful day, Jadyn's Mom
I had a $5 gift card to Starbucks that I gave to a stranger.

I went up and talked to an elderly woman who had left the pharmacy counter pretty upset a few minutes earlier. Her name was Penny, she was 75, and she told me a story about how the pharmacy had been cutting her medication but still charging her the full copay. Obviously she was upset, so I gave her a prescription drug discount card I carry around and encouraged her to check other places. She eventually came to tears and admitted that she really needed help. I reassured her that the card may be able to do that and that there still are people out there ready and willing to help her. Bottomline, Penny seemed lonely and desperate for help and she became very emotional when someone half her age showed her a little compassion, caring, and possible solution to her problem. We need to start taking better care of our elderly. I gave her a hug and hopefully a great Valentine's Day gift.
I shared with a homeless man I saw on the street.
